Universal Clay Ridge Tile 410mm

Manufactured from high quality Portugeese Brown Clay and baked at a high temperature to suit Irish and UK weather.

They are a Traditional Plain Angle Ridge with a new clay sealing design, therefore, no need for plastics seals/fixings.

This is our most popular ridge tile, favorite with roofers as they are easy to fit and measure.

Suitable for roof pitch 30 to 40 Degrees. 

As angle widens, ridge sits higher on slates or tiles, end plates are used to close them off.

Universal Clay Ridge Tile is a favorite with roofers as it can be easily fixed with 2 x dry fix screws.

Fitting instructions:

Fixed with

1 no. 160mm Tex Screw & EPDM/Steel Washer

1 no. 120mm x 5mm Non Corrosive Stainless Steel Screw (Counter Sunk Head).

Ridge board should be at least 50mm above top of rafter to allow secure fixing point for 2 x screws.

Top row of slate/tile should be cut with 5" cover under each ridge tile for maximum weathering.

We recommend the use of ventilated/non ventilated ridge roll under all dry fix ridge tiles. More exposed sites or roof pitch below 35 degrees, including hips, MUST use unventilated ridge roll to prevent water ingress. Tiled roofs should also use hip trays on all hips.

Gable plates should be used to close off the gap between the top of slate and bottom of ridge, leaving the gables water tight.
